This site is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense, which uses cookies to serve and measure ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
Consent is handled by Google's certified consent management platform (AdSense Privacy & messaging), integrated with the IAB TCF. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, or in a US state with its own privacy regulation, you will see Google's message on arrival with options to accept, reject or manage your preferences, and you can change your choice at any time from that same message. If you accept, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to show you personalised ads; if you reject, you will still see ads, but not based on your browsing history. You can also turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings or at aboutads.info/choices.
If you subscribe to the newsletter we store your email address and the language you signed up in, and nothing else: we do not ask for your name, your country or any other detail. We use it only to send you the weekly email about what is new on the site.
We never sell or pass your email to third parties. Every message carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom: one click and you are off the list, with no need to write to us or explain anything. You can also ask us to delete your address.
Addresses are stored on Netlify, where the site is hosted, and with whichever newsletter delivery service we use, which processes the data on our behalf and for this purpose only.
We keep your email for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we delete it and keep no copy. Technical browsing data lasts as long as each cookie does — that is set by Google and by our hosting provider, and you can clear them yourself from your browser whenever you like.
Your consent. You give us your email voluntarily and we use it for the thing you asked for: the quota alert or the newsletter. You can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing or writing to us, and you do not have to explain why. For advertising, consent is handled by Google's consent message you see when you arrive.
The site is hosted on Netlify, a United States company, so the email addresses you give us are stored on servers in the United States. The service we use to send the newsletter also processes your data on our behalf and for that purpose only. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, this means your data leaves your region: we say so because you have a right to know it before giving us your address.

And if you believe we are not handling your data properly, you have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country — the ICO in the United Kingdom, your national supervisory authority in the European Union, and the equivalent body elsewhere.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child in your care gave us their email address, write to viajacongus@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Some browsers send a "do not track" signal. There is currently no common standard for how to respond to it, so this site does not treat it differently. To control personalised advertising, use Google's consent message or the opt-out links above — those do work.
