In the 2022-2023 season I went back to Park City with Milly and Selva. We found a lovely house in Prospector and lived in its basement. I went back to Deer Valley Resort, but this time to the ski rental desk instead of banquets or a restaurant, with people I had met in my first season who had also come back. When they needed extra hands they called me for events as a banquet server, as a second job. I did not look hard for anything else, and it went well.
Before the season was over, still in the United States, the representative of WE USA wrote to me. WE USA is the agency we did our Work and Travel with. The owner is Croatian, and after years of sending Argentinians to the United States she wanted to do the same with her own country: Work Croatia, to live and work legally for a whole summer in Croatia. Croatia is in the northern hemisphere, so it starts when the American season ends. It would be the first time, a pilot, and she wanted few people and, if possible, people who had already done a Work and Travel. People like us.
We talked about it with friends: Manu, and two friends called Camila, Cami C and Cami M. Cami M worked at a travel agency and wanted a change; Cami C was doing a Work and Travel in Lake Placid, New York. That is how the summer that follows began.
